Role
The aircraft maintenance technicians Avionics will assist to Carry out Schedule and unscheduled maintenance and when necessary, record all discrepancies identified during the required inspection operations. The role reports to Head of Workshops.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in rectifying defects on line and base maintenance.
- Assist in carrying out maintenance in avionics/electrical workshops
- Supports recovery of aircraft in case of a breakdown away from base.
- Informs supervisors of maintenance breakdown or challenging experience in the course of their work.
- Use the correct tooling and equipment required to perform work operations.
- Maintain vigilance at all times for discrepancies which may not be directly related to the function being performed and, in such circumstances, it is incumbent to take the necessary action to correct such discrepancies.
- Record a log of activities through the medium of the approved documentation in a clear and concise manner showing all actions taken as a result of the work accomplished.
- Ability to work overtime and travelling (away from base maintenance may be required)
- And any other responsibilities as specified by the management
.
Qualifications
- Hold a diploma in Avionics or degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Have a minimum of three years of work experience in the aviation industry
- Have attempted KCAA AMEL
- Have a minimum of Two years of Workshop experience
- Have troubleshooting skills
