The World Rally Championship (WRC), for the third time, is back in Kenya! The upcoming rally will take place in 22nd – 25th June, 2023. The WRC is an event that takes place across 4 continents i.e., Africa, Europe, South America and Asia and it features 13 countries. This 13-round motorsports series started on 19th January, 2023, on the winter roads in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Having being preceded by 6 other countries including Sweden, Mexico, Croatia, Portugal and Italy, Kenya becomes the seventh country to host this event for the seventh time this year.
The thrill is back for all motorsports fans and participants globally who are getting ready to be part of another dusty-exciting event. On 22nd June, the Safari Rally is settled to kick-off at Uhuru Park, proceed to the Super Special Stage in Kasarani before heading to the Rift Valley for the three-day event.
All roads lead to Naivasha on 22nd June, 2023 for one of the world’s greatest rally events. The 2023 World Rally Championship has 20 Kenyan drivers and more than 40 international drivers from different parts of the world who will participate in this race. World Rally Championship is attended by world class drivers that are highly skilled and trained to race both in extremely frozen, remote terrains as well as in very hot and rocky regions.
